The Audrey W. Clark School—also known as the School of Holistic & Academic Wellness (SHAW)—is part of the Long Branch Public Schools district and serves as the district’s dedicated alternative education program. Located at 192 Garfield Avenue in Long Branch, New Jersey, the school is named in honor of Audrey Warren Clark, a lifelong Long Branch educator who began her career in 1952 and went on to serve as a teacher, principal, and administrator. Her legacy of compassion, literacy, and student-centered learning continues to inspire the school’s mission today.

At Audrey W. Clark, our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where academic growth and wellness go hand in hand. The SHAW framework emphasizes the development of the whole student—addressing academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and readiness for life beyond the classroom.

Through small-group instruction, flexible scheduling, and targeted support services, the Audrey W. Clark School helps every learner reach their fullest potential. Working closely with families and community partners, the school honors Ms. Clark’s lifelong dedication to education by preparing students for personal and academic success.
